Island Peak (Imja Tse), rising to 6,160 meters (20,210 ft) in the heart of Nepal’s Khumbu region, offers the perfect introduction to Himalayan climbing. Surrounded by towering giants like Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, the peak gets its name from its appearance—standing like an island amidst a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche.
Island Peak is a non-technical but demanding climb, making it a favorite for aspiring climbers ready to go beyond trekking into the realm of high-altitude mountaineering. The journey combines the classic Everest Base Camp trail, cultural immersion in Sherpa villages, and hands-on mountaineering training from certified guides with Everest experience.
Our itinerary includes proper acclimatization, a summit attempt with contingency buffer, and professional support throughout, ensuring both your safety and a greater chance of reaching the summit.
