Outline Itinerary
Meet your biking guide at the Sacred Trails office or your hotel in Thamel. Get fitted with a quality mountain bike and helmet. Receive a quick briefing before heading out.
Cycle uphill to the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa. Park bikes and walk up to explore the Buddhist shrine, prayer flags, and panoramic views over Kathmandu Valley.
Navigate through bustling old city streets, stopping at Ason, Indra Chowk, and hidden courtyards to witness vibrant street life and traditional architecture.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square on foot. Learn about the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, temples, and the Living Goddess Kumari. Park your bikes nearby during this guided walk.
Take a break and enjoy lunch at a local café or rooftop restaurant with Nepali or Tibetan options. Meals are not included but recommendations will be provided.
For more experienced riders, continue biking south across Bagmati River to explore Patan Durbar Square, its Krishna Temple, museums, and Newari craftsmanship.
