Overview
The Lobuche Peak Climbing trip is a challenging 17-day mountaineering adventure combining the iconic Everest Base Camp trek with a summit attempt on Lobuche East (6,119 m). Trace the classic Khumbu route through Lukla, Namche, Dingboche and Gorakshep before heading to high camp and summiting. Technical gear and proper acclimatization are required. Best seasons: spring and autumn.
Outline Itinerary
Meet at Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer to hotel in Thamel. Evening briefing and gear check, followed by welcome dinner.
Scenic mountain flight to Lukla (2,860 m), then trek 3–4 hrs to Phakding (2,610 m) via suspension bridges and riverside villages. Overnight in teahouse.
Trek 6–7 hrs through Sagarmatha National Park, crossing suspension bridges and steep climbs to reach Namche Bazaar (3,440 m).
Rest day with optional hike to Everest View Hotel or nearby Sherpa villages and monastery to aid acclimatization.
Day 5: Trek 5–6 hrs to Tengboche (3,870 m), visit historic monastery.
Day 6: Trek 5–6 hrs to Dingboche (4,360 m), passing through Imja Khola valley.
